I will never forget those words from a client going through the most difficult part of being a pet owner. My name is Sam Lewis, and I became a veterinarian to help people with their animals. I founded Rogue Valley Veterinary Emergency (RVVE) with the belief that we could provide that crucial support when it’s needed most.

From treating a simple upset stomach to fighting for days to save a pet from diabetic ketoacidosis, I find fulfillment in guiding owners through all aspects of their pet’s health journey. At RVVE, we are committed to fighting for your pet’s well-being every step of the way. Medicine should be direct and clear—there’s no magic in what we do. Bloodwork can be measured, organs can be imaged, and explanations should always be simple and honest.
At RVVE, our transparent model ensures that pet owners remain with their loved ones during care. With advanced diagnostic equipment (including endoscopy, ultrasound, and radiology), 24h staffing, and a fully equipped surgical suite, we are prepared to provide the best possible care for your companions.
