We're searching for dedicated, skilled team members to assist pet owners during their most difficult moments.

About the Role

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and develop clear, understandable treatment plans for emergency cases.

  • Provide transparent communication with pet owners, clearly explaining diagnoses, treatment options, costs, and potential outcomes.

  • Perform emergency surgeries and manage critical care cases, ensuring that all procedures are discussed and approved by the pet owners beforehand.

  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff in a transparent and team-oriented manner.

  • Maintain detailed and accessible medical records, ensuring that all decisions and actions are documented and shared with pet owners.

  • Engage in continuous education and stay current with advancements in emergency and critical care medicine, sharing knowledge with the team to enhance transparency.

Requirements

Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an AVMA-accredited institution.

  • Active veterinary license in the state of Oregon or ability to obtain one prior to starting.

  • Experience in emergency medicine is preferred, but we welcome motivated candidates with a passion for medicine and desire for collaboration.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex medical information in a straightforward and empathetic manner.

Benefits

  • Competitive Pay: $85 per hour (with a shift differential for overnight and weekend shifts.)

  • Hourly pay: Non-production based pay means leaving work on time, taking vacations isn't going to affect your pay, non-competitive work environment, and many other benefits in clinic culture.

  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Including options for health, dental, vision, pet insurance, and a 401(k) plan, paid time off (PTO), continuing education (CE) allowance, and professional development opportunities.

  • Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a flexible schedule with blocks of time off to recharge and explore the beautiful Rogue Valley.
