CVT - Certified Veterinary Technician

$24-$30 (with differential pay for weekend and overnight shifts)

At Rogue Valley Veterinary Emergency (RVVE), a privately owned clinic, we provide high-quality emergency and critical care for pets in Southern Oregon. Our transparent care model invites clients to actively participate in their pets' diagnosis and treatment. We believe that everyone deserves access to clear and understandable medicine for their pets. We're searching for dedicated, skilled team members to assist pet owners during their most difficult moments.

About the Role

  • Provide exceptional customer service by managing communications,  handling billing, and payment processing.

  • Assist veterinarians during medical procedures, surgeries, and examinations, including preparing equipment, handling instruments, and providing patient care.

  • Administer anesthesia under the supervision of a veterinarian and monitor patients during surgery and recovery.

  • Administer medications, perform imaging, and laboratory tests under the supervision of a veterinarian.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient and client records, documenting medical notes, treatment plans, and all communications.

  • Care for animals by feeding, watering, and monitoring their vital signs, health, and behavior.

  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the clinic contributing to the overall comfort and safety of our patients and clients.

  • Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately during examinations, treatments, and procedures..

  • Monitor and manage clinic inventory, ensuring that all supplies and equipment are available and properly maintained.

  • Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to ensure smooth and efficient clinic operations, contributing to the overall care and satisfaction of both clients and patients.

Requirements

CVT - license

  • Strong preference for candidates with proficiency around surgical/ECC procedures and protocols, anesthesia administration, and aseptic techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

  • Compassionate and dedicated to providing exceptional care to pets and support to their owners.
